Ubuntu 11.04 Will Allow Sponsoring Software Projects, A New Icon Theme on the Lines

Lots of changes have been announced for Ubuntu 11.04 in the keynote by Mark Shuttleworth  at Ubuntu Developer Summit, the most exciting one is probably announcing of Unity as default desktop environment. There are few other things that were announced:

• A new icon theme that will be developed but won't be available before Ubuntu 12.04 
• A new model where interested users can sponsor an application in software center for development
• Extending Multi Touch support to browsers and window management
• Improved Ubuntu One and Zeitgeist integration
