Faenza-Cupertino: Faenza Icons with a Blue Flavor

Everyone loves Faenza icon set. The square tiles are just perfect for Ubuntu Desktops. Now john007 came up with a new modified version of faenza icon set. The icon set named Faenza-Cupertino modifies the colors of the folders from brown to blue and other rest icons are same as original Faenza theme.

The new set fits perfectly with Elemnetary theme.

Release Schedule Updated for Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal

The release schedule for Ubuntu 11.04 "Natty Narwhal" had been updated yesterday. The final release is expected on 28th April, 2011. In all there will be five  Alphas, one Beta and a Release Candidate before the final version is released.

Ubuntu 10.10 will support Multi Touch with uTouch 1.0

Maverick Meerkat will support multi touch with a new gesture stack developed by Ubuntu Developers. The developers have created an open source gesture recognition engine that will be a means for applications  to obtain gesture events from uTouch.

Automatically Delete Thumbs.db Files

Thumbs.db files are created by windows to store thumbnails cache to make reloading of thumbnails faster. These files are not relevant to Ubuntu and its a good idea to delete them.
