Midori Web Browser Gets an Update, Sets DuckDuckGo as Default Search Engine

Lightweight and minimal web browser Midori got an update today that brings a number of bug fixes, tweaks and new features.

If you don't know about Midori: 

Midori is a lightweight web browser for Linux based on WebKit and GTK. The browser comes with many features like inbuilt extensions Adblock, colourful tabs and others, user style and scripts support, bookmark manager, customisable interface and tab management and mouse gestures to name a few.

Midori Got an update today featuring many bug fixes and some new features/tweaks:
  • Better bookmark import and export support
  • A new infobar that prompts to install userstyles and scripts (userstyles extension must be enabled)
  • DuckDuckGo as the new default search engine that protects your privacy (SSL version)
  • Support for libnotify 0.7 
  • Many fixes for context menu, URIs, language options etc.

Run the following command to add required PPAs and install midori: 

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:midori/ppa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webkit-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install midori
