Firefox 4 Removes Url Info from Address Bar and Moves It to the Bottom

Link info, that has been showing in the address bar of Firefox 4 for quite some time now, has been moved down at the bottom just above the add-on bar. Any url info is now shown in the status bar that was added few days back.

This is a welcome change as it was really a pain to look upwards for url info in the address bar and look down at the status bar for any other info. The feature has landed in daily builds of Firefox 4 and most probably it will be there in next Firefox beta release.

You can download bleeding edge version of Firefox 4 by running following commands (or wait for next beta)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mozilla-daily/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install firefox-4.0
