DeaDBeeF 1.0.0 Music Player Released to Android Market

A new version for Lightweight music player DeaDBeeF is now available on Android Market. The music player is quite popular in Desktop Linux users because of its minimal interface, speed and low memory footprint.

The mobile version is no less beast than desktop version (rated 4/5). Main Features include:
  • Multiple playlists
  • Equalizer with 10 bands and presets
  • Gapless playback
  • Viewing music file tags and album art
  • Replaygain
  • Shuffle tracks and shuffle albums mode
  • Works with folders
  • Last.fm scrobbling
  • Plays many file formats - mp3, ogg, aac/mp4, flac, ape, wv, wav, sid, mod, s3m, nsf
  • Loads cuesheets
  • Online streaming radio (shoutcast/icecast)
  • Full unicode support and charset detection

Changes in Version 1.0.0

This version is based on same codebase of DeaDBeeF 5.1 desktop version with some tweaks for Android. Main Changes include:
  • Added equalizer
  • Added aac, ogg and wav plugins
  • Added shoutcast streaming (use Add Location from menu, or open .pls/m3u files from Downloads)
  • Added album art display
  • Fixed mp3 gapless
  • Hundreds of other fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements

DeaDBeeF version 1.0 currently comes with some ads but an ad free version will be released soon.
