Linux Games Participating in Independent Games Festival, 2012 [Part 2]

This is continuation of our earlier article about Linux Games Participating in Independent Games Festival, 2012. We looked at six Linux games from different genres. Brief overview about remaining Linux games is below.

Deepak Fights Robots

Deepak Fights Robots is an arcade platformer inspired by the likes of Bubble Bobble, Donkey Kong, and Pac-Man. It features over 180 levels, and provides a different subset of these levels to the player every new game. Deepak Fight Robots has already won Game Design Award at Indiecade.

Dirk Dashing 2: E.V.I.L Eye

Secret agent Dirk Dashing is back for a brand new mission! After a wicked computer virus destroys G.O.O.D's new computer network, agent Dirk Dashing must track down the cyber criminal responsible for the attack. His mission leads him to a massive global corporation, owned by one of the wealthiest men in the world. You have to help Dirk avoid security systems, evade guards, and solve all-new puzzles to stop a diabolical new plot by E.V.I.L mastermind, Dr. Ego!

Frozen Synapse

Frozen Synapse is the ultimate tactical game: you have full control over your strike team, directing their every movement.  At the same time, your opponent is plotting to defeat you.  Plan your moves, then hit the "Execute" button: both you and your enemy's turns are executed simultaneously.

No Time To Explain

I am you from the future, No Time To Explain - AURHUGHGUH! A game about jetpack guns, giant enemy crabs and ribs in people's eyes.

Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie-infested sandbox survival game. The game features retro isometric style graphics, massive surroundings, shooting, crafting, trading, RPG style character progression and co-op multiplayer gameplay.

Snapshot

Snapshot is a puzzle platformer with a unique photography mechanic that lets you take pictures of your surroundings. You take control of Pic, a robot camera built with a single purpose: capture and collect a mysterious energy scattered throughout a beautiful but dangerous land.

Snapshot lets you capture the unexpected: rain, doors, physics properties, ghosts, sunlight, even yourself! Players are challenged to come up with creative solutions to increasingly challenging puzzles.

Thats it. These are various Linux games participating in IGF 2012. This list is not exhaustive. There may be more as not all games have disclosed their platforms and many games don't even have a webpage. In fact these indie games are popularized by IGF so I am sure we will see more of these games coming to Linux in future.
