There is this cool feature that KDE 4.6 has with the 'Task Manager' Plasmoid.It's called "Show A Launcher For [Program] When It Is Not Running". Thats kind of a long ass name, so I personally call it the "Hybrid Launcher" hahah

Kill GNOME 2.x Min/Maximize Buttons Also

When I heard GNOME3 was going to get rid of the 'Minimize' and 'Maximize' Buttons, it was no shock to me. I can see how you can argue that it might be a problem for new switchers to Linux but thats another debate.

Anyways, you can do it on GNOME 2.x also, Honestly you don't really need those 2 buttons. And let me explain how it can be replaced.
