[CES] USB Stick Size Computer 'Cotton Candy' Running Ubuntu 11.04 and Android 4.0 ICS


Few months back, FXI revealed its USB stick size mini computer - Cotton Candy. The ARM device created lots of buzz then and the makers said that it can run Ubuntu.

They are true to their words and have now ported both Ubuntu 11.04 and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Laptop Magazine had an exclusive look at the device at CES 2012.

  • Dual-core ARM Cortex A9
  • Wifi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
  • 1GB DRAM
  • Up to 64GB memory local storage (microSD)
  • 1080p HD video playback capability
  • USB 2.0 male form factor for power and connection to devices that supports USB mass storage
  • HDMI 2.1 with audio for connection to devices that does not support USB mass storage
A micro USB port has also been added and the company is now working to make the device even more slimmer and lightweight.
