Lightweight Music Player 'DeaDBeeF' Updated

DeadBeeF is a minimal and lightweight music player for Linux. It is highly customization through plugins and focuses on an interface that is fast and responsive without any extra cruft. A new version for DeadBeeF has been released bringing in lots of new features and fixes.

Changes in this Release (version 5.2)
  • Added optional "Album Artist" support to last.fm
  • Added "audio/ogg" mime-type support
  • Added "Album Artist" support to shuffle albums mode
  • Added auto-resizing support to playlist columns
  • Added EXTM3U support
  • Added automatic creation of directory structure to the converter plugin
  • Artwork plugin now supports png by default
  • Improved automatic config saving
  • Replaygain preamp improvements
  • Experimental GTK3 support, can be enabled with ./configure --enable-gtk3
  • Fixed several memory leaks

Install DeaDBeeF from PPA by running following commands (Oneiric, Natty, Maverick, Lucid)

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexey-smirnov/deadbeef
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install deadbeef
