DeaDBeeF Music Player 0.5.4 Released

DeaDBeeF is a fast and lightweight music player for Ubuntu. It provides a very simple and intuitive GUI without any extra cruft.

A new version of DeaDBeeF Music Player has been released with many new features and fixes:
  • Auto-save EQ state on every change
  • Added new Sort->Random feature, to randomize the playlist
  • Added m3u and pls url mime types (audio/x-mpegurl;audio/x-scpls) to deadbeef.desktop
  • New default cover-art image
  • Added option to disable gapless playback, but improve speed (mp3)
  • Added support for writing files to the source track folders
  • Added ShellExec GUI configuration support
  • Many fixes, full changelog here
To install DeaDBeeF music player, run the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:alexey-smirnov/deadbeef
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install deadbeef
