[Linux Game Updates] New 3D RPG Games, More

Some new games have announced Linux support recently. Check out a brief summary below.

Shadow Remnants is a turn-based tactical role-playing game. As you travel through the vast country of Avatia, you will battle against the tides of corruption to uncover an ancient power with a terrible secret. Using the wide range of character classes at your disposal, assemble a band of followers to aid you in battle.

The game is currently on Kickstarter and a Linux version has been confirmed, However, it will be slightly delayed from the initial Windows release date.

Expeditions: Conquistador is a story-driven tactical role playing game with a touch of strategic resource management and a pinch of choose-your-own-adventure.

You will take on the role of a Spanish Conquistador in South America in 1518-1520. Select the members of your expedition and explore campaign maps based on the actual topological maps of Hispaniola and Mexico. Through intricately branching dialogue, you will engage with the characters and situations that you encounter across these uncharted areas, and when it’s time to spill blood, a tactical combat system of great depth and brutality will let you control your individual troops in battle.

The game is currently on Kickstarter and Linux support has been confirmed.

Unity 4 is slated to have Linux support, and we’ve already pre-ordered a Unity 4 Pro license. We really love the Linux community, and once Unity 4 is out, we’ll start testing a Linux build of the game as well.

Unepic is a combination of platforming and role playing games. The game takes place in Harnakon, a huge medieval castle and there are many hilarious references throughout the game.  It is set in the hardcore NES Style, yet refined with the latest features.

Unepic is very popular and it has a huge fan following. It stood at 3rd position in Indie Game of the Year contest by IndieDB and Deusra.

A Linux port of the game is in progress.

A friend is going to port the game to Linux. No more Wine will be needed. Althought he is doing it for free, any donation will be welcome.

You can donate to developers from this page.

Lastly, Forceline, a 2D sidescrolling game has been released on Desura. You take control of the prince of the realm of Athretia and your quest is to rescue the princess from the evil viscount and his minions.

A Linux version of Forceline is available on Desura for $3.
