RIM Releases New Version of Open Source 3D Game Engine 'Gameplay', Linux Support Coming

Research In Motion Limited or (RIM), popularly known for its product BlackBerry smartphone, has just released a new version of its open-source and cross-platform C++ game engine Gameplay.

This new version introduces many new features but the most interesting part is that they are adding Linux support in their next release.

Check out the changes in Gameplay version 1.4 from here. Linux support is at high priority and it will be included in their next release, version 1.5. For more info see their public repository.
