Ubuntu 12.10 Adds Mac OS X Like Genie Effect

In a latest update, Ubuntu 12.10 has introduced a new behavior where any window restored from minimized state uses a 'Genie' or 'Magic Lamp' style animation effect.

This animation effect has been available in Compiz for a long time, however it is now turned on by default.

As Ubuntu 12.10 is still in development, this may very well change in future.
