Ubuntu One users can now enjoy the service with greater storage as the free plan limit has been increased from 2 GB to 5 GB. The Ubuntu One Basic plan is now known as Ubuntu One Free and existing users' storage allowance will automatically increase from 2 GB to 5 GB.

Ardesia digital sketchpad 0.9 has been released bringing in support for Ubuntu 11.04. We have reviewed Ardesia couple of times in past and it is a must have tool (along with GIMP and Inkscape) for designers, students and software developers for creating mockups, hand drawn annotations and presentations.

Open source and cross platform messaging client Instantbird version 1.0 has been released today. Instantbird is based on Pidgin's libpurple protocol library and Mozilla's Firefox technology. It supports all major messaging services and have an extension system for adding extra functionality, themes etc.

Thunderbird for Linux is getting some nice visual changes as Andreas Nilsson shows off some teaser screenshots of Thunderbird looking great on Linux Systems. Work is being done on bringing better integration with GTK themes, very similar to visual improvements that landed in Firefox 4 earlier.
