Synapse Quick Launcher Gets New Update - More Plugins and Fixes


Synapse quick launcher for Ubuntu gets a new update that brings many fixes and new plugins. 

If you don't know about Synapse:

"Synapse is a quick way to launch applications, files and documents by typing just first few initials. The application uses Zeitgeist to report relevant search results to the users. If you have used Gnome-Do, Synapse is similar to it with powerful, faster search features and plugin support."

  • Multiple fixes to Zeitgeist searches
  • Added plugin descriptions (links to wiki)
  • Added simple Launchpad plugin
  • New Pastebin plugin
  • Added Copy to clipboard action
  • New Imgur plugin (uploads images to imgur)
  • New Selection plugin (execute actions on currently selected text)
  • Small UI fixes and speedups
  • Multiple smaller bug fixes
To add the PPA and install Synapse, run following commnads:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:synapse-core/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install synapse
