Maia, A Sci-Fi Game Inspired by Dwarf Fortress and Dungeon Keeper

Maia is a procedural, 3D space management game being developed by indie game developer Simon Roth. The game is about building an underground colony to protect space dwellers from the dangers of the surface, with mining and construction.

The game is inspired heavily by the 70's Sci-fi aesthetic and you must keep your colonists safe, fed and happy. We posted about the game couple of times in past and some of you may remember about it.

Maia is now on Kickstarter looking to raise £100,000. The project has raised £20,224 on the first day of campaign itself, so it seems it is going to hit the target next few days. 

A playable version of Maia will be available in mid January. The game will run on Windows, Mac and Linux and will be DRM free. Final version of the game is expected to be released in June 2013.
