Pier Solar HD Remake Coming to Linux

Pier Solar HD is a 16-bit RPG with a retro vibe and old school turn based gameplay.

The game tells the story of Hoston, a young botanist who is on a quest to save his father from a mysterious illness. Along with his two best friends Alina and Edessot, the three friends embark on a quest seeking a rare herb to cure the illness of Hoston's father. Little do they know, it is the beginning of a winding journey that unravels his father's past and the mystery of Pier Solar and the Great Architects.

The original Pier Solar RPG was released on a custom cartridge for Sega Genesis in 2010. The HD remake will come to a number of platforms including Xbox 360, Windows, Mac, Linux & Sega Dreamcast.

The gameplay will remain same as the original game which already provides hours of old school fun. However, there will be a major update for game visuals and an achievements system will also be included in final release.

Pier Solar HD is on Kickstarter and it has already reached funding goal of $139k. You can confirm a copy for yourself by pledging $15 or more on Kickstarter. Expected date of release is December 2013.
