New Ubuntu One Alpha Released for Kubuntu 10.10

A new version of Ubuntu One client for Kubuntu 10.10 has been released.  The version is first alpha release following a earlier pre-alpha version. Most of the features work fine for Kubuntu but there may be bugs.

The new release brings features like:

• Ubuntu One status Notifier
• Configuration from system settings under Network settings
• Easy folder and bandwidth management
• Added to KInfoCenter

The new version will not work on Kubuntu 10.04. You will need a fully updated Kubuntu 10.10 version which is still in development.

To install run following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository apachelogger/ubuntuone-kde

Now, update your system and install ubuntuone-kde.
