Paid Apps Gone Free - PAGF (Beta)

Get Hotot , A New Stylish Twitter Client for Ubuntu [From PPA]

Hotot is a new Twitter client that comes with all the basic features a Twitter client has, that is support for status updates, retweets, directs, search etc., plus some really interesting features.

Hotot is  extensible through a number of extensions, three as of now. For image uploading, inline image previews and geolocation.

Also, Hotot is really use to use, just hit alt+c and update your status.

Hotot integrates well with the desktop as it has an app indicator and a native notification system.

When you first launch Hotot you will be asked to enter your account details. There are two options: Basic Auth and OAauth. Only OAuth will work as Twitter has stopped support for Basic Auth.

Hotot feels quite snappy and the interface is intuitive and fun to use. The application is still in development and more extensions will be supported in future. The only thing it is missing is multi-account support.

As always, there is a PPA for it (Daily Build for testing purpose). To install run the following commands in terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jimmyxu/hotot
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install hotot.

Thanks to Andrew @ Webupd8 for info!
