Much Awaited Linux Game 'Blocks That Matter' Released

Indie Puzzle platformer, Block That Matter has been finally released for Linux. Most of our readers should be already aware about this game as we have written about it plenty of times.

The game recently won grand prize $ 40,000 in Dream.Build.Play 2011 indie games competition.

About Blocks That Matter

You are the Tetrobot: a tiny robot that can drill blocks of matter one by one, collect them, and recycle them into new pieces of 4 blocks. You also have the possibility to destroy lines of 8+ blocks. Sand, wood, stone, obsidian, iron, diamond: each matter has its specific behavior and you'll have to use them wisely to take advantage of them.

Main features:
  • A unique gameplay experience mixing puzzle and platform that will challenge your brain
  • 40 levels to play in Adventure Mode, 20 bonus levels to unlock and more free content to come
  • Collect every 40 "Blocks That Matter" and rediscover video games made of blocks that made or will make History
  • Create and share your own puzzles using an easy-to-use level editor

Blocks That Matter for Linux can be bought from Indievania for $4.99. A tech demo is available on IndieDB.
