Go Rogue in Hell, New Version of DoomRL Released for Linux

Doom, The Roguelike (DoomRL) 0.9.9.6 has been released with much awaited graphical interface. The hard work by ChaosForge team has paid off as the gameplay feels really streamlined with mouse friendly UI. Game tracks and sound effects have also been upgraded to high quality versions.

If you don't know yet:

DoomRL is a fast and furious coffee-break Roguelike/Dungeon Crawler game, that is heavily inspired by the popular FPS game Doom by ID Software.

Since it is a Roguelike game, it features perma-death, randomly generated areas and turn based gameplay. So once you die, you have to start over. You will be able to level up your character and find lots of new weapons to fight baddies. The objective is to descend into Hell to eliminate the central source of monsters.
