Cinnamon 1.6 Released with New Features
Cinnamon desktop environment has just received a new release that brings numerous new features and bug fixes.

- Nemo integration
- Cinnamon 2D (A new session which uses software rendering, to help people troubleshoot compatibility problems with Cinnamon)

- Faster menu filtering
- Menu activation on hover
- Settings applet is now part of the panel context menu
- New widgets (for Applet developers): radio buttons and checkboxes

If you want to try out Cinnamon 1.6 in Ubuntu 12.04, install it from Cinnamon nightly PPA by running commands below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-nightly
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install cinnamon muffin nemo
This is experimental PPA that hosts development builds. You can wait for stable PPA to get updated if you don't want to use a nightly PPA on your system.
