Razor-qt Desktop Environment Gets a Major Release
Razor-qt is an advanced, easy-to-use, and fast desktop environment based on Qt libraries. It has been tailored for users who value simplicity, speed, and an intuitive interface.
Razor-qt 0.5 has just been released with tons of new features and fixes. Changes in this release:
- Razor Notifications - a desktop notifications service.
- Razor LightDM Greeter - a login interface for the LightDM diplay manager.
- Razor Global Shortcuts - a service to launch commands using key shortcuts.
- Razor OpenSSH Askpass - a graphical password prompt for ssh.
- Volume control, with ALSA and PulseAudio backends.
- Sensors, to monitor temperatures.
- CPU monitor.
- Network monitor.
- Color picker.
- The runner can now launch custom commands as well as start VirtualBox machines.
- The desktop now includes a Notepad plugin.
- Other notable features include a battery meter for Razor Autosuspend, a redesigned Razor Control Center, and a Razor theme switcher.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:razor-qt/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install razorqt razorqt-desktop
After installing, logout and choose Razor Desktop session from login menu.
