"Flap" is a Compact App Launcher for Linux
Flap is a new app launcher for Linux sporting a minimalistic design and quick TAB completions.
The app is based on Electron framework. Some of the main features include:
- Compact design
- Suggestions on TAB button
- Suggestions respect usage statistics
- Runs printed command in the terminal if not found in the index
- Supports history of any commands previously executed
To install Flap in Ubuntu, run the following commands:
sudo apt install npm nodejs-legacy sudo npm install -g flap-app-launcherYou can now launch Flap by running the command flap-app-launcher.
Flap can also be launched by using Super+Space keyboard shortcut. If it is not working then just create a new keyboard shortcut using your distribution specific tool.
