First Stable Build of "Latte-Dock" Released, One Click Deb Installer Available
We covered about Latte-dock in our last post. However, there have been many new changes since then and now first stable build of latte dock has been released. Complete changelog can be found here.
Plasma-desktop version 5.8.0 or more is required to install Latte-dock. Upgrade your plasma desktop to 5.8.0+ in Kubuntu 16.04 and 16.10 using commands below:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade
Kubuntu 17.04 and KDE Neon users already have latest Plasma, so they need not run above commands.
You can now install Latte-dock using a script we posted in our previous article.
For easier installation, I have also packaged latte-dock in a deb package which can be downloaded from here. The package has been tested on Kubuntu 17.04 only. However it should work on any Ubuntu based distribution having Plasma-Desktop 5.8.0 or more.
If in case it is not working on KDE Neon and Kubuntu 16.04/16.10, let me know and I will try to fix it ASAP. I will also publish this package to a PPA soon, so stay tuned.
