Unity 7 Forked into "Unit Desktop"

Unity 7 has been forked into new Unit Desktop by Mirko Brombin.

The project has just started and doesn't include any new commits as of now, just stock Unity 7 code. The name also sounds similar to Unity 8 fork Yunit Desktop.

We have chosen to change its name since we do not follow the official Canonical developments, and not receive support from it.
Few days back we reported that a developer has shown interest in forking Unity 7 and adding new features like new app launcher, dock customisation and extension support.

It may be possible that this project has been started by the same developer or it is an entirely new project. More as it unfolds.
